Homemade Ranch Dressing

First: Make the Mayo (Trust me, it’s worth it)

1. In a bowl or using an immersion blender, whisk together egg yolks, mustard, and lemon juice until smooth.
2. Slowly drizzle in the oil while whisking constantly until thick and emulsified.
3. Add a pinch of salt to taste.

Now: The Ranch

1. Whisk together the homemade mayo, sour cream, and buttermilk until smooth.
2. Stir in the fresh dill, parsley, chives, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and MSG until fully combined.
3. Adjust consistency with more buttermilk and balance the flavor with additional lemon juice to taste.
4. Chill for at least 30 minutes (but preferably overnight). Pro Tip: It’s even better the next day—give those herbs time to work their magic.
