Easy Hot & Fast Ribs

First, prepare the ribs by removing the membrane, patting them dry, and coating them generously with yellow mustard and your preferred BBQ rub. Smoke the ribs at 275°F on a Weber Searwood for 2 hours. Next, wrap the ribs tightly in foil with butter, brown sugar, and apple juice, and cook for an additional 1 hour. Finally, unwrap the ribs, brush them generously with the homemade BBQ sauce, and smoke for 15 minutes to allow the sauce to set.

For the homemade BBQ sauce, combine 1 cup ketchup, ½ cup apple cider vinegar, ⅓ cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons molasses, 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon black pepper, and optionally ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper in a saucepan. Simmer the mixture for 10-15 minutes until it thickens and becomes glossy.
